In the Astra, it's very important to determine whether the symptom occurs at light load, under heavier throttle, or only after warming up. In the 1.6 CDTI, boost should reach about 1.8 bar WOT; a drop below 1.2 bar indicates underboost. The EGR valve is also key: a discrepancy between requested and actual position >15% indicates a stuck valve (replacement cost 600-1200 PLN). This immediately narrows down which channels are worth logging first.
It's also worth checking the swirl flaps: stuck in the closed position causes rough running and smoking, in the open position power loss. Glow plug resistance should be 0.5-1.0 Ω; above 2.0 Ω the plug is damaged. Without this context, engine power reduced remains just a general description of the final symptom.
